Betty L. Moore McEntyre

Mrs. Betty L. Moore McEntyre, age 84 of Talmadge Drive, Toccoa passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Roy Lee Moore and Mildred Sims Moore, she was born September 27, 1939 in Habersham County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was a great nurse, having been employed with Stephens County Hospital.  She was a member of Mt. Bethel Community Church.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, canning, riding the back roads in a 4x4 truck and loved her cat, Yeller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McEntyre.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Rick Wood of Clarkesville and Deborah and Daniel Spear of Toccoa; grandchildren, Kevin and Melissa Wood, April Dale, Kipp Dale, Ryan Bounds, Becca Wood, Aaron Wood, Cheyenne Wood and Trystan Wood; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Paul Nicholson of Toccoa and Mary and Rex Nelms of Mt. Airy.

Graveside services will be Sunday, October 1, 2023, 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Community Church Cemetery with The Reverend Mike Garroutte officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Bethel Community Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Betty L. Moore McEntyre.
