Russell Lee Meeks

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Russell Lee Meeks, age 61 of Winder, Georgia who entered rest Saturday, September 23, 2023.  Mr. Meeks was born in Harts Creek, West Virginia a son of the late Don and Belva Browning Meeks, and was an Electrician in the Contruction Industry.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Meeks is preceded by a brother, Steve Vance.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Wood Meeks of Winder.  Children, Cassie Meeks of Winder, Joshua Meeks of Braselton, Jessica Norman and Russell Waugh, Jr., both of West Virginia.  Half Sister, Darlene Lester of West Virginia.  Brother in law Jeff Wood (Kaye) and sister in law Nancy Wood.  Nine grandchildren also survive.

In accordance with the wishes of Mr. Meeks, his remains will be cremated and a private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
