Scott “Scooby” Watson

Scott “Scooby” Watson, 56, of Murrayville passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born November 16, 1966, Scott had been a resident of Murrayville for the past 20 years.  A member of Salem Baptist Church in Cumming, he loved the Lord and also attended Roanoke Baptist Church.  Scott was born and raised in Cumming where he was a graduate of Forsyth County High School.  He worked as an electrician for over 25 years.  Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, fast cars, NASCAR, and many different sports but he loved his family and spending time with them most of all.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, L.B. and Marie Hubbard, Hugh and Millie Watson.

Surviving are his parents, Rev. Clark and Carolyn Watson of Murrayville; siblings, Kristy Martin (Casey) of Cumming, Josh Watson (Ronda) of Dawsonville, Jacob Watson (Brandi) of Cumming; nieces and nephews, Luke Martin (Tabitha), Coey Watson (Madison), Calli Bell (Caleb), Caroline Martin, Case Martin, Reese Watson, Brooks Watson, Parker Watson; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Wilson Pruitt, Rev. Donnie Nix, and Rev. Clark Watson will officiate.  Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 14 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
