Mary Lou Day

Mrs. Mary Lou Day, 76, of Gainesville, passed away Monday. September 11, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. Justin Twiggs will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on October 29, 1946 in Dawsonville, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Fronnie Ingram. She retired from the USDA where she was an inspector. She was a loving daughter, sister, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Mrs. Day was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Day was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Day; son, Kevin Day; brothers, Freddie Ingram, Weldon Ingram and sisters, Vera Vasquez and Vernell Gee.

Mrs. Day is survived by her daughter and son in law, Linda and Marvin Phillips of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Greg and Kelly Barton of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jason Day, Brittany Willoughby, Kacey Day, Tyler Phillips, Ivy Barton, Natalie Barton; great grandchildren, Marson Day, Aubrey Willoughby, Makayla Day, Luke Willoughby, Tyler Day, Makenzie Day and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
