In loving memory of Michael Eric Wolsiefer Sr. October 31, 1962 - September 2, 2023
Michael Eric Wolsiefer Sr. decided he was tired of being “busy busy busy” all the time and took his last surprise nap on Saturday, September 2, 2023. We’re sure now he’s off on the road trip we never quite got around to in his dream RV with an unlimited supply of peanut m&m’s, ring dings, ho hos, and chocolate chip cookies. When he wasn’t busy helping one of his kids through whatever their current crisis was (his specialty), you could always find him outside smoking, with his nose in a book, a diet Dr. Pepper in his hand, and summoning the closest feral cat (another specialty). He was known for giving the absolute best hugs, long talks about life, and many inappropriate jokes. He was quick witted and would surprise most with his comebacks. At first glance he was quite intimidating but was quick to burst out into a contagious giggle. His selflessness and unwavering support of his family will forever be unmatched. He is survived by his children, Jennifer and Michael, a slew of brothers and sisters, a large stack of lotto tickets, and more slightly domesticated feral cats than we know what to do with. His absence leaves a gaping hole in our lives and he is already immensely missed. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 11 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to your local ASPCA in his name.
