Leory Russell Reed

Mr. Leroy Russell Reed, age 95, of Murrayville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Reed was born January 10, 1928 in Sorento, Illinois. He was the son of the late Oliver W. Reed and Cleda Pfister Reed. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Lois Loy Reed.

He was retired as a self-employed painter. He was a member of Northlake Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Henry Gerdes of Illinois; granddaughter and husband, Ramona and Matt Scheldt of Utah; grandson, Shane Harmon of Illinois; great-grandchildren, Madison Westbrook, Dakota Westbrook, Michael Harmon and Maci Harmon;
