Mark Lamar Smith

Mr. Mark Lamar Smith, age 58 of Oakwood, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2023 at Christ Place Church with inurnment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Pastor Rob Britton will officiate.

Mr. Smith was born August 27, 1964 to the late Horace & Brenda Pittman Smith in Gainesville, Georgia. He worked in the parts department at Hayes Chrysler. A member of Chestnut Mountain Church, he was a Christ follower who loved singing in church. He also loved Georgia football and motorsports. 

He is survived by his brother, Craig Smith of Oakwood; and aunts & uncles, Royce & Maria Pittman of Gainesville, and Rick & Christy Pittman of Cornelia.
