Mary Louise Buffington Sanders

Mrs. Mary Louise Buffington Sanders, age 81, of Nicholson, GA died Monday, August 28, 2023 at her residence.  Mrs. Sanders was born in Atlanta, GA to the late David and Gertrude Blair Dyches.  She was a member of Community Chapel and retired from Hill Haven Nursing Home.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Clarence Sanders, Jr.; sons, Frank Sigman and Thomas Sanders; brother, H.L. Dyches; granddaughter, Kasi Sanders; and grandson, Allen Sanders, Jr.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her daughters, Vickie Watkins of Nicholson, Deborah Harris of Commerce and Holly Sanders of Athens; sons, Jimmy Sanders and Brian Sanders both of Nicholson and Tim Sanders of Carnesville; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, August 30 at New Beginnings Pentecostal Outreach.  Interment will follow in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
