Tammy Michelle Martin Parsons

Mrs. Tammy Michelle Martin Parsons, age 50, of Murrayville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023. She was born on Clarkesville, Tennessee on July 24, 1973 to the late Johnny Martin and the late Mary Sue "Susie" Martin. 

Tammy graduated from Johnson Highschool in 1991 and furthered her education at Piedmont College, earning her Bachelors Degree. She was a genius when it came to Mathematics. She loved solving problems and took much pride in her work. She also took pride in her volunteer efforts, whether it be helping at one of her kids schools, their sports, her church, or even just lending a kind hand to someone in need. Her family was her everything and they will miss her dearly. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her aunt, Connie Martin; brother-in-law Stephen Parsons; and father-in-law Eugene Parsons.   

She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Phillip Parsons of Murrayville, Georgia; daughters Sydney and Jordyn Parsons of Murrayville, Georgia; cousin Dustin Cleveland; aunts Linda Martin and Jo Buffington; sister-in-law Vicky Parsons; and mother-in-law Carolyn Parsons.

A celebration of Tammy's life will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
