Billy Marvin Dyer, age 62, of Alto, Georgia, has ridden his last ride on earth, Thursday, August 24, 2023.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Chuck Boyd will officiate.
He was born July 19, 1961 in Commerce, Georgia. He is the son of Betty Benton Dyer Collins and the late Clyde W. Dyer. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Collum Dyer.
He was a cabinet builder with GWD in Buford, Georgia. Billy enjoyed life to the fullest. He never met a stranger or forgot a friend. Every weekend if possible you would find him out on the road on his Harley with his family and friends. He will be missed by so many. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Benton Dyer Collins; daughters, Heather Dyer; Chelsey Jones (Scott); stepson, Brian Green (Brooke); step-daughter, Alison Dale (Brandon); grandchildren, Aaliyah Garcia, Skylar Blake (Athyn Thurmond) Dylan Blake, Dustin Green, Abbie Green, Liberty and Evelyn Jones; and great-grandson, Luke Blake (Monkey); brothers, David Dyer (Michelle), Jimmy Dyer (Donna), sisters, Aletha Gazaway (Daniel), and Sherry Allison and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations towards the funeral cost would be greatly appreciated. Please make donations to Sherry Allison or Brian Green’s name. Checks will be accepted at the funeral home.
