Janet Lynn Matelski

Janet Lynn Matelski, 67, of Buford, GA, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 1 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the American Cancer Society, in memory of Janet. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Ignatius and Dorothy Shaffer Matelski, and brother, William Matelski. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Bush, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Brenda Lippincott (Zach), Scott Dempsey; brothers and sister, Robert “Bob” Matelski, FL, Michael Matelski, NJ, Diane Edmonds, NJ; other extended family and friends. Janet was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and had lived for the last 39 years in the metro Atlanta area. She was an executive assistant for Lusk Commercial Contractors, was a member of North Metro Baptist Church and was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
