Curtis Dean Watson, 83 of Gainesville died Thursday August 24, 2023.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Watson was the son of the late John Henry and Maude Key Watson. He was a retired truck broker and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Dean was also known for being a longtime Georgia Tech supporter.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Doris Watson (Bob), nieces and nephews, Anne Watson Smith (Randy), Lamar Watson (Debbie), Vickie Watson Burrell, Jackie Nicholson, Johnny Nicholson (Mary), Jerry Nicholson, Joey Nicholson (Angela) as well as numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends Kirk Barrett and Chris England.
Mr. Watson is preceded in death by his sisters, Gussie Watson, Mildred Nicholson, Ellaree Dearman, brothers, Robert Watson, Floyd Watson, Paul Watson.
A special thanks to the Staff of Manor Lakes and Golden Rule Hospice for the loving care shown to Mr. Watson while in their care.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Dr. Kenneth Barrett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
