Keith M. Burt

Keith M. Burt, 63, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023 following a period of declining health.

Born April 17, 1960, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  Keith was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Dawsonville and worked at Amicalola Falls State Park for 30 years until his retirement.  He had a great love for the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.  Keith was preceded in death by his father, G.C. Burt, Jr., brother, Eddie Burt, and mother-in-law, Betty Long.

Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Holly Long Burt of Dawsonville; son, Ken Burt of Dawsonville; mother, Jeanette Burt of Marble Hill; grandchildren, Kaylie Burt, William Burt; sisters, Gwen Reed of Marble Hill, Tammy Loggins of Dawsonville; brothers, Lamar Burt (Renee) of Dawsonville, Gerald Burt, Daniel Burt, both of Marble Hill; father-in-law, Clayton Long of Dawsonville; other relatives.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
