Robert Young

Robert Young, age 90, of Buford, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Edith Young; brothers, Stanley Young and Donald Young. Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean Young of Buford, GA; daughter, Tracy (Robbie) Lynn of Buford, GA; son, Terry (Patricia) Young of Toccoa, GA; grandchildren, Jason (Faith) Lynn, Justin (Brittany) Lynn, Mindy (Scott) Harper, Marcia Bavier, Jessica Young, Christy Young, Sam Sellers, and Sean (Whitney) Sellers; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann (James) Myerholtz of Rayle, GA, Dottie (Randy) Cronic of Toccoa, GA, and Sue (Johnny) Davis of Lilburn, GA; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.  Robert was born September 8, 1932 in Buford, GA and served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  He retired from Lockheed Martin after 45 years of service.  He was a member and a Deacon of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Sugar Hill, GA.  He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family.  Robert was very generous and would always help anyone in need.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday August 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Wigley officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 11:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home
