Kert Martinez

Kert Martinez (53) passed away unexpectedly on August 19^th, 2023. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death.

He is survived and missed by his wife, Amanda; his children, Kaya and Abby Nicklow; his sister, Tiffiny Sieg; brother, Ricky Jerz and niece Haley Holden; his fur babies, Rico, Kaluha, and Paws. He is preceded by his father, Gene Jerz and mother, Virginia Jerz.

Kert was born in the Philippines on June 25, 1970.  His father was in the Navy and eventually made Summerville, South Carolina home. Later he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where he met his wife. They then moved to Buford, Georgia to be at the lake. They created many memories together with family and friends. He loved traveling, boating, concerts, kayaking, fishing, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs play. His hobbies included all things Mustang… racing, winning at car shows, and just driving endlessly every weekend for a “quick cruise”.  Kert prided himself on being a devoted protector of his family and dedicated professional at work.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date and will be held in Raleigh, NC.
