Herbert Grizzle

Mr. Herbert Grizzle of Dahlonega, passed away at the age of 82 on Friday, August 18, 2023.  Herbert was born on April 25, 1941, to the late Jim and Lois Grizzle.  In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing, gardening and many days you would find him rocking on his front porch. Herbert was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Herbert was predeceased by his son Michael Grizzle; siblings Ed Grizzle, John Grizzle, Zona Anderson, Ernest Grizzle, Bill Grizzle, Hubert Grizzle and Clyde Grizzle.

Herbert is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Martha Carder Grizzle of Dahlonega; daughter Patricia Herold (Greg) of Dahlonega; son Wayne Grizzle of Dahlonega; brothers Grady Grizzle (Louise), Henry Grizzle (Cindy Davis); sisters Annie Grizzle, Fannie Siegler, Stella Odom (Roy Dan) and Lila Spriggs.

Visitation will be held at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Anderson-Underwood Chapel. Interment will follow in Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Kris Butler, the Rev. Lyman Caldwell and the Rev. Mickey Wheeler will officiate
