Eugene "Black Bird" Holcomb

A husband, a father and granddad to this is the legacy we have from you. Eugene ”Black Bird” Holcomb, 64, of Gainesville Georgia was called home on the early morning of August 14, 2023, due to a brief illness.

Eugene was a hard-working man who dedicated 28 years of his work life to Marjac Poultry. Where he was loved by many coworkers. He was a man of God, who was a faithful member and usher for Cornerstone of Faith, for over 15 years. He was a kindhearted man who loved his football (Falcons and Dawgs).  He also later in life found a new love to travel.

He is preceded by his father UJ Holcomb, mother, Lizzie Johnson Holcomb, sister, Lillie Mae Holcomb, and niece, Olympia Holcomb. Eugene will be greatly missed by his wife Donna Woodard Holcomb, who will cherish every moment they had together. Brothers UJ Holcomb, and Michael Holcomb (Sabrina Holcomb), and sister, Angela Holcomb. His five amazing men Quinton Nicely (Kia Nicely), PJ Pierce, Ryan Holcomb, Brian Holcomb, and Darius Holcomb. Stepchildren Darryl Bonds Jr (Paige Bonds), Tiera Poulos (Madeleine Poulos), Donnesha Woodard, and Shanice Cunningham. Eugene and his wife, Donna also share 16 grandkids that will miss him greatly.

He also leaves behind many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews. “This isn’t the end, until we meet again.”
