Starling Miller, Jr.

Mr. Starling Miller, Jr., age 88 of Liberty Hill Road, Eastanollee passed away peacefully at his home on August 10, 2023.

A son of the late Columbus “Lummie” Jackson Miller and Mamie Mae Justus Miller, he was born May 12, 1935 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was a retired machinist from Vermont American. He loved his family very much.  He loved fishing and hunting and his old blue Chevy C10 truck.  He was always quick with a joke. He was kind and generous and those that knew him, remember him as a caring soul. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Miller, Charlie Miller, James Miller, Ed Miller, Richard Miller and Guy Miller and by two sisters, Lucille Davis and Arizona Turner.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Eula Mae Justice Miller of the home; daughters, Renee Miller (Greg) of Eastanollee and Christi Herring (Wil) of Canon; granddaughter, Leah Barnett (Odell); and his great-grandchildren, Trey and Yonna.

Private family visitation and service was held Sunday, August 13, 2023 in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Harris Pressley officiating. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers, Wil Herring, Odell Barnett, Trey Knox and Floyd Justice.

Interment followed in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Starling Miller, Jr.
