Mrs. Minnie Alice Landers, age 79 of Gainesville, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at her residence following a brief illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 12 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Landers was born December 27, 1943 in Dahlonega, Georgia to the late Walter McClure and Alice Delsey Goss McClure. She was a homemaker and a member of Cannon Baptist Church. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Douglas Neal Landers.
Mrs. Landers is survived by her children, Lola Bey of Pleasant Hill, IL, Shirley Mae Romero of Gainesville, Dorothy Ann (Marshall) Mulkey of Gainesville, Mary Jane Painter of Gainesville, Dallas (Wendy) Painter of Gillsville and Charlie Walter (Cristy) Painter of Cleveland, her 20 grandchildren, her 24 great-grandchildren, her siblings, William McClure of Gainesville, Wayne McClure of Cleveland, Jannie Marchbanks of Cleveland, Gladies Tullis of Maysville, Helen Smith of Clarkesville and Nancy (Larry) Hamilton of Cleveland.
