Grady Lee Peavy, Jr., 77 of Buford, GA died Friday, August 4, 2023 following an extended illness. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 3 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA. Rev. Rodney Peavy and Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 5 – 8 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Grady was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Lee Peavy, Sr. and Nannie Ruth Martin Peavy; brother, Wayne Peavy. He is survived by his wife Glenda Jones Peavy, Buford, GA; son, Rev. Rodney Peavy (Beverly), Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Christian Peavy, Carols Peavy (Bri), Tosha Peavy (Fiancé, Casey Cook), Joshua Peavy; great grandchildren, Tristan Peavy, Melody Peavy, Madison Cook, Jilly Cook; brothers, Bobby Peavy, Macon, GA, Ronald Peavy (Pat), Maysville, GA; sister, Kathy Kelch (Cliff), Hoschton, GA; several nieces and nephews. Grady was born in Atlanta, GA and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired truck driver and attended Zion Hill Baptist Church, Buford.
