Chris Keij, born June 23, 1933 in Roosendaal, the Netherlands died July 29, 2023.  He is survived by his wife Margaret, of 37 years. He is survived by his family in Holland; one brother Cees, one sister, May, one niece, Nicolette and three nephews: Pascal (Rita), Chrétien (Margreet), and Sebastien.  He is survived by his family in the USA; two sisters-in-law: Mary Pable and Therese Stogner, and one brother-in-law, Leo Gilsdorf (Diane).  He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He had a degree in classical philology from Louvain University, in Belgium.  He was a teacher and worked with Mill Hill Missionaries as the International Developmental Director, securing funds from businesses and charities in Europe for development projects in countries where poverty existed.  He took a year off to attend a Jesuit program, focused on leadership in Spokane, Washington, where he met his future wife, Margaret, who was also participating in the program.

After a four-year courtship, Chris and Margaret were married on August 15, 1986.  They made their home in Doraville, Georgia.  He was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, participating in various ministries.  He retired from Kaiser Permanente after holding various positions.
