Curtis Earl "Curt" Rogers

Curtis Earl "Curt" Rogers, age 75 of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, to assume his place in heaven with the Lord as he was a strong believer in Jesus Christ our Savior. Curt's family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home 4400 South Lee Street, Buford, Georgia on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at The Vine Church at 6553 Spout Springs Road, Flowery Branch, Georgia with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and followed by a service celebrating his life at 11:00 a.m. Curt is preceded in death by his parents Elton Earl and Virginia Pearl Rogers. He was survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan Mayton Rogers; children Whitney (Shane) Ensley, Courtney Rogers, Matt (Michele) Rogers; grandchildren Brayden and Dawson Ensley, Jaxen Rogers; brother Kevin (Jennifer) Rogers; brother-in-law Dave (Brenda) Mayton; sister-in-law Kim Kudelka (Vince Dorsey); nieces and nephews Mitchel Mayton, Taylor (Cason)  Hitt, Ali (Brett) Barfield, Michael (Katie) Kudelka, Sean Kudelka, Alex Kudelka, Lindsey (Ben) Pope, Madison and Colin McCollough; great nieces and nephews Landon Mayton, Collin Hitt, Cooper Kudelka, and Avery Barfield. Curt graduated from West Virginia Tech with a Civil Engineering degree and worked for the West Virginia Turnpike Commission where he assisted in the design of the two Interstate 77 tunnels in southern West Virginia. In 1972, he joined J.O. King, Inc. and retired as an owner after 47 years of service. Curt was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He never missed a chance to spend time with his family attending and assisting with all of the activities with which his family was involved.
