Frances "Aunt Will" Wiley

Obituary Date: Saturday, July 15, 2023
Mrs. Frances “Aunt Will” Wiley was born October 2, 1939 to the late Charlie and Gussie Pierce. She entered her eternal rest on July 15, 2023, surrounded by family. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Jesse B. Wiley, her children, Lattrell Robinson, Danny Wiley, and Jason Wiley, her sisters, Melba Pierce, Ida Wise, Alice Pierce, Ruby Brawner, brothers, John D. and Charles Pierce.

Mrs. Wiley loved the Lord and was not ashamed to let it be known. She was a faithful member of Black Springs Baptist Church since an early age. She made sure the church was always immaculate and also greeted everyone that entered with a smile. She absolutely loved her home church under the leadership of the late Pastor John Mark Thomas. She also served beside her sister Ruby Brawner and niece Peggy Johnson on the Gainesville Prayer Band for over 40 years. Her most famous prayer at 5AM with all the other prayer warriors was short and sweet, “Lord, keep me in my right mind” and she always requested prayer for her family.

Mrs. Wiley had several different jobs throughout her lifetime, but her most important job was being the glue to her family. She was extremely family oriented and had a way of making her entire family feel special. If you have ever been around her family, I’m sure you have heard multiple disagreements on who is her favorite! She was that beacon of light and fresh air to all. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend anyone could ever have.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her children: Diane (Richard) Maddox, Gloria (Jackie) McCluskey, Zachary Daniel, and Jeffery Wiley. One son in love: David Robinson. Grandchildren: Shontae Randolph, Andre Randolph, Labrenza Law, La’Davia Robinson, and Q.T. Blackwell, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. Sisters: Odessa Richie, Lula Pierce, and Betty Chester. Sisters in love: Judy Pittman and Vee (Victor) Coka. Brothers in love: Obie Lee Wiley and David (Julia) Wiley, and a host of other family and friends.

The visitation will be held Friday, July 21st at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm. Mrs. Wiley's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 22nd at Antioch Baptist Church at the hour of 11am. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
