Edward "Ed" Gary Transue

Mr. Edward “Ed” Gary Transue, 69, of Gainesville Georgia passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at the North East Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Ken Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Born on August 1, 1953 in Stroudsburg, PA, Ed was the son of the late George Transue and Beulah Ludwig Transue. He was a Butcher and a cook for Western Sizzlin in Gainesville.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Transue is preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Transue, Robert Transue, and sister, Deborah Prater.

Mr. Transue is survived by his wife, Judy Parker Transue of Gainesville; Daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Lanny  Holtzclaw of Demorest, Daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Jack Haefele of Murrayville, Sister, Judy Lewis of Bartonsville, PA, brother, Walter Transue of PA., 9 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.
