Donald H. Bentley

Mr. Donald H. Bentley, age 83, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Mr. Bentley was born in Cleveland to the late Bill and Minnie Bell Sutton Bentley.  In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Bentley; and brother, Jerry Bentley.  

Mr. Bentley was an Engineer for the Georgia Department of Transportation and a member of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the Yonah Masonic Lodge #382 F&AM.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Donnie Doyle, Cleveland; sons and daughters-in-laws, Jeff and Shelia Bentley, Clarkesville and Eric and Jennifer Bentley, Cleveland; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Lanette Smith, Sautee; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Myer Westmoreland, Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Joyce Bentley, Cleveland; sister-in-law, Meryl Bentley; and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Blue Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Monday, July 17, 2023 and from 10-11 A.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2023, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
