Obituary Date: Saturday, July 8, 2023

Brian Harris King, age 57 of Dacula, GA passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 8, 2023, while on vacation in St. George Island, FL. Brian has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11:00 AM at 12Stone Church – Hamilton Mill Campus. Pastor Mark Eiken will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Brian is preceded in death by his father, Harry W. King, Jr. and his father in-law, Donald D. Frost. He is survived by his wife, April King, Dacula, GA. Children, Ashley King, Ashville, NC, Harris King, Dacula, GA, Amelia King, Dacula, GA. Mother, Barbara H. King, Suwanee, GA. Siblings, Bill King and wife Caron, Suches, GA, Barry P. King and wife Elaine, Brookhaven, GA, and Elizabeth Severns and husband Stuart, Knoxville, TN. Mother In-law, Patricia M. Frost, Dublin, GA. Nine nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brian was born in Atlanta, GA and was one of four children. He was married to his beloved wife for 30 years. He had a love of travel and adventure and has friends across the globe.

Brian was a graduate of Peachtree High School, Class of 1984 where he played football. He was a Georgia College Alum, Class of 1989, where he was part of the Kappa Alpha Order – Epsilon Nu Chapter. Many lifelong friendships were made there, and he was proud of his son, Harris, who followed suit.

Brian had a servant’s heart, always doing for others and putting himself last. He was a dedicated husband, father, son, and brother who raised 3 wonderful children being a coach, chauffer, and go to guy. Brian was a man of action and lived in the moment. He had an answer for every problem and always found a connection, drawing people in with a story                                                                                                 or through laughter and humor. He had a love of music, being a fan of outlaw country Willie Nelson and Hank Williams Jr. He is now rejoicing with his dad, granddad, and father In-law.

Brian participated in the Mill Creek Athletic Association, Mill Creek High School Touchdown Club and assisted with the 2022 State Championship Team.

Brian had a love of aviation and flying and worked many years with Delta Airlines. He worked for 4 years in Blytheville, AR with CNET operations.
