Mrs. Linda Heighes Phillips, age 77, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Linda was born on December 22, 1945 in Mechanicsburg, PA to the late Leroy Joseph Heighes and the late Grace Stone Heighes. She brought joy and laughter to the lives of all who knew her.

Linda possessed a larger-than-life personality that brightened every room she entered. With an unwavering zest for life, she continually sought out laughter and brought smiles to the faces of those around her. Her infectious humor and quick wit made her the life of any gathering. Known affectionately as "Lucy Carol," Linda's comedic talent was unparalleled; and her jokes and stories will be cherished and retold for years to come.

Not only was Linda a source of laughter, but she also embodied ambition and determination. She approached every challenge with a fighting spirit, never allowing adversity to dampen her strong will. Mrs. Phillips was a remarkable storyteller, weaving captivating narratives that enthralled her audience, leaving them hanging to her every word. Her ability to inspire and uplift others was truly a gift.

Linda's caring nature extended beyond her humor and storytelling prowess. She possessed an incredible strength of character and was a devoted caregiver to those in need. Whether it was her family, friends, or strangers, Linda willingly lent a helping hand, offering support, love, and compassion. Her nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.

Now, as Linda's journey on Earth comes to a close, she is reunited with her beloved husband, Wesley Phillips, in Heaven. Their love was a shining example to all who knew them, and their reunion brings solace to those left behind. Together, they will continue to watch over and guide their loved ones from above, their legacy of love and laughter living on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know them.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her darling daughter, Lisa Bazemore; as well as aunt and uncle Dorothy "Dot" and Joseph Kuaffman.

She is survived by her children, Max (Evie) Myers of Cleveland, and Oleta Powers of Dahlonega; grandchildren David Hood, Domonique Hood, BJ Dorsey, Anika Myers, Ricky Bazemore, Madison Bazemore, and Austin Barrera; brother Jack Davis, as well as numerous other relatives and special friends.

It was Mrs. Phillips' wish to be cremated. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the cemetery of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Dahlonega.
