Kristine Adams Wilson, 76, of Bogart, formerly of Gainesville, GA, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
Kris was born in Greenville, SC, and was the daughter of the late Clara McCravy and James Adams. She was preceded in death by a son, Warren Julian Wilson. She was a 1964 graduate of South Hall High School. While living in Gainesville, she was employed at the Hall County Health Department, Mansfield Oil Company, C.H. Martin Petroleum, and Harrison Oil Company. She was no stranger to hard work and was always quick with a smile or a helping hand. She spread her goodwill as an active member of the Gainesville Elks Auxiliary and found a spiritual home at the Free Chapel Worship Center.
Kris leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, Sonny Wilson of Bogart. Her love lives on in her daughters, Rebecca Ellen Wilson of Perry and Normanda Claire Wilson of Bogart, and her granddaughters, Anna Claire Wilson (Christian Lowe) of Bogart and Claire Abigail McDow (Emmett McDow) of Sunnyvale, CA.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home, 3195 Atlanta Highway, in Athens, with Mr. Kevin Marable and Rev. Travis Richardson officiating. Here, we will remember, celebrate and say our goodbyes. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. The memorial service will be live-streamed at Facebook.com/Bernstein Funeral. Interment will follow on Monday, July 10, at 2:00 p.m. at Perry Memorial Gardens in Perry, Georgia.
