Gilbert Chung

Gilbert Chung, 87 of Gainesville passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 28, 2023.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Frances, 2 sons, Alan Chung (Karen), Michael Chung (Brandie), and 4 grandchildren, Chloe, Hana Driver (Chase), and Connor. 

He was born in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia, emigrating to the US in 1965 to attend the University of Georgia where he excelled to complete several bachelor's degrees. He was an avid badminton and soccer player and a martial artist. He had a long successful career with the USDA where he retired in 2004. He was active in his church and a strong believer in his faith.

Visitation will be from 4 - 7p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Little and Davenport Funeral Home.  Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in the Little & Davenport Chapel, Dr. Zach Williams will preside. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Gainesville, GA.
