Arthur Wilburn Stow

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Arthur Wilburn Stow, age 85 of Maysville, Georgia who entered rest Tuesday, June 27, 2023.  Mr. Stow was born in Gainesville, Georgia a son of the late Chalmas and Mae Myers Stow.  Mr. Stow retired from Georgia Chair after many years of faithful service.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Stow is preceded by  the mother of his children, Joyce Ann Stow, two sons, Chalmas Stow and Arthur Wilburn Stow, Jr., sister, Ruby Jones, three brothers, Loyd, J.C., and Edward Stow and a daughter in law Kimberly Stow.Stow

Survivors include his wife Kathleen Jones Stow of Lula.  Daughter, Ella Mae Myers (Wayne), son, Donald Douglas Stow.  Sister, Mary Ann Turpin, seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and a daughter in law Flora Jean Stow also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home with Joe Jones officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce, Georgia.  The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Steven Stow, Michael Twitty, Triston Stow, Theo Wright, T.J. Wright and Gary Turner.
