Stevie Ray Whisnant

Mr. Stevie Ray Whisnant, Age 66 of Pendergrass, GA passed away on June 28th, 2023.

Born on March 29th, 1957 in Winder, GA, Mr. Whisnant was the son of James Franklin Whisnant and the late Dovie May Whisnant. He was the owner of Whisnant Logging for 45 years.

Along with his mother, Mr. Whisnant is preceeded in death by his wife Peggy Whisnant, brothers Mikey Whisnant and Larry Whisnant and sisters, Joann Whisnant and Elisa Whisnant.

Survivors include his father, James Whisnant, sister, Jamielyn Brown, brother,Wayne Billings. Children, Phillip Whisnant, Rachel Lee and Josh Whisnant. 11 Grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at Ivie Funeral Home on Saturday, July 1st at 1:00PM with Rev. Leon Thompson and Rev. Donnie Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Oconee Baptist Church, Commerce, GA with Rev. Bo Whisnant officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30th, 2023 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home.
