Lucille Mildred Wyatt passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023 at the age of 93 years young.
Lucille is survived by her two daughters, Lucinda Baylor and husband Gerald, and Karen Middleton and husband Al, sister, Paulette Greene, niece Jill Jackson, nephew, Dr. Onaje Greene and wife Erica and sons, Zuri, Zavier and Zephen, granddaughters, Dr. Kellie Middleton and Dana Middleton and fiancé Frank Murray, grandsons, William Middleton and wife Sheena, LCDR Wyatt Middleton and wife Katherine and granddaughter in-law, Yolanda Artadi. Her dearest great-grandsons and great- granddaughters, Liam, Malachi and Aiden and baby girls Harper and Cillian.
Lucille is predeceased by her mother Susie Bailey Jackson, father DaCosta Clark, her beloved husband CPL.William Walter Wyatt and her loving grandson Craig Artadi.
She was born in Lumberton, North Carolina on June 2, 1930. She attended and graduated from Morris High School in the Bronx, New York. Lucille met and married William Walter Wyatt April 2, 1948. On November 1, 1950 and April 29, 1957 she welcomed into the world two beautiful daughters who were the most important part of her life.
Lucille retired early from the Selective Service System in Jamaica, New York. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for the American Broadcasting Company in New York City for 15 years.
After the loss of her beloved husband William, Lucille moved to Georgia where she enjoyed working at the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Lucille was an excellent daughter, sister, wife, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and most of all MOM. We will all miss her dearly on earth, however, her love will be forever in our hearts.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Services. The visitation will be one hour prior to service. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
