Joan Satterfield Milford

Joan Satterfield Milford, age 80, of Lula, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

Mrs. Milford was born on November 27, 1942, to the late Buford and Juanita Satterfield.  Mama Joan was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church and always served her family and friends up until her time of declining health.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Adrian Satterfield; infant brother, Ray Satterfield; brothers-in-law, Walter Sills and Charles Kirby.

Survivors include her husband, Wesley Milford, whom she worked side by side with for 59 years; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Celeste Milford; granddaughters, McCree (Matt) Pratte, and Paige (Carter) Lee; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Pratte and Lydia Pratte; sisters, Betty Sills and Gwen Kirby; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma (LG) Rogers, and Sharon (Danny) Densmore; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church.  The Rev. Kyle Savage and the Rev. Carter Lee will officiate.  Interment will follow in Skitts Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
