Robert Calvin Waits, Jr.

Mr. Robert Calvin Waits, Jr.,  69, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Born November 7, 1953 in Duluth, GA, he was the son of the late Robert Calvin Waits and Burilla Faye McCracken Lynch. He retired from Home Depot after 26 years of service, where he was a department supervisor.

Calvin had many hobbies. He was most known for his love for cars and his exceptional mechanical skills. He was often regarded as “the man who could fix anything”. He was a real Superman. He was an amazing friend to many and loved by all. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. He loved the Lord and gave his life to Christ. His family finds peace in knowing they will be reunited again.

Mr. Waits is survived by his wife of 21 years, Shirley Waits of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Brittany and Mike Albaneso of Dunwoody; daughter, Danielle Lord of Gainesville; grandson, Dawson Maust; granddaughter, Nova Bright; brother, Jesse Frank Waits and wife Pam of Kingsland, GA and a number of other loving relatives.
