Laverne Brooks Clarck

Laverne Brooks Clarck, age 78, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Clarck and parents, Lyman and Doris Gillard Brooks.  Mrs. Clarck is survived by her fiancé, James Turner of Buford; brother, Kevin Brooks of Florida; cousins, Rhonda Ramsey of Buford, Shirley Pace of Buford, Anthony Pace, Dexter Pace, Rodney Pace, Gregory Gillard, Harry Brooks; and caregiver, Betty Maddox.  Mrs. Clarck was born on May 25, 1945 in New York City, NY and was a graduate of Bablyon High School.  She retired from the Human Resources Department at Walmart and was also a member of Greater Mission Church, Buford.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Allen Temple United Methodist Church, Buford with Rev. Jermaine Styles, Rev. John Haynes, Rev. Kenneth Brown, and Rev. Bernard Slaton officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
