Evelyn Mae Coggins

Mrs. Evelyn Mae Coggins, 88, of Murphy, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Cary Pittman will officiate. Interment will be in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Born on May 20, 1935 in Decatur, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Lee and Jennie White Buchanan. She was a retired bus driver and a member of Heavens View Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coggins was preceded in death by her husband, Rayburn Coggins; son, David Coggins and brothers, Wesley Buchanan, Bobby Buchanan.

Mrs. Coggins is survived by her daughter and son in law, Shirley and Theron Clore of Murphy, NC; son, Russell Coggins of Gainesville and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
