Kenneth Dean Allen

Kenneth Dean Allen, age 78, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Hoyt and Myrtle Puckett Allen; sister-in-law, Marie Higgins Allen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Mildred Fowler Wood; extended family, Scott Slim Bailey.  Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Judy Wood Allen of Suwanee; children, Joe and Barbara Cerf Allen of San Diego, CA and Marcy and Jeff Lamphier of Suwanee; grandchildren, Dylan Allen, Samantha and Reid Davis, Sophia West, Rheagan Lamphier, Taylor Lamphier, Dante Lamphier; great grandchild, Violet White; brother, Doug Allen of Cleveland, GA; sister, Dortha Allen of Cleveland, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly and Richard Buice of Seneca, SC; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mr. Allen was born on July 14, 1944 in Suwanee, GA, and graduated in 1962 from North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Marines for four years, and was retired from Gwinnett County Development as an inspector.  Mr. Allen loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild, and he loved reading.  No formal service is planned but the family will have a visitation to receive friends on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Kenneth Allen.
