Eva Helton

Eva Helton, 77, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at her residence.

Born November 9, 1945 in Pickens County to the late Joe and Audrey Morris, she had lived in Dawson County since 1967.  Eva was a great cook and worked for several restaurants in Dawson County and was also formerly employed at Sweet-Orr and Hasco.  She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens and sewing.  Eva was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Paul Hilton and a sister, Shirley Dodd.

Surviving are her sons, Ricky Helton and Charles Helton, both of Dawsonville; sisters, Evelyn Martin, Canton, Barbara McCoy, Ball Ground, Janice Wooten, Jasper; brothers, Kenneth Morris, Dahlonega, Stevie Morris, Jasper; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Mike Harris will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
