Daniel "Danny" Holtzclaw

Daniel "Danny" Holtzclaw, age 66, of Gainesville entered rest Friday June 9, 2023 at Gold City Nursing Home with his family by his side.

Danny was born February 1, 1957 in Dawsonville, Georgia to the late Roy Dean & Martha Chester Holtzclaw. He was a feed truckdriver for Pilgrims for a number of years. He was so proud of being awarded the safe driving award from Pilgrim having no accidents during his career there. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Shope.

Left to cherish memories, wife of 47 years, Sharon Holtzclaw; son, Derick Holtzclaw; grandchildren, Elaria Holtzclaw, Emilyn Holtzclaw, Olivia Holtzclaw; sisters, Jean (Jerry) Foster & Sherry (Bryce) Shook; a number of nieces, nephews & other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday June 13, 2023 at the Chapel of Ward's Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Jones officiating. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday June 12, 2023 at the funeral home.
