Elizabeth Katherine Anderson Conley

Mrs. Elizabeth Katherine Anderson Conley, 78, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home .Rev. Clark Stubbs and Rev. Zach Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on November 21, 1944 in Newton County, IA, she was the daughter of the late Carl W. Anderson and the late Meryle Reynolds Anderson.

Doyal always said, “She was the finest Christian that I have ever known. She was always true to her loving Savior. She always stood behind him in all of his ministries. She was known as the First Lady to all eight churches I’ve ever pastored.”

Her children say their mother always put other people before herself and always made sure her children had the best Christmas ever.

Mrs. Conley is survived by her husband, Rev. Doyal E. Conley of Gainesville;  sons, Jeffrey Conley of Gainesville, Mark Conley of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Cindy Smith of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jacob Conley of Gainesville, Emma Conley of Gainesville Robbie Conley of Knoxville, TN, Sam Conley of Knoxville, TN, Coleman Smith of Gainesville, Kendall Smith of Gainesville; brother, Charles Anderson of Daytona, FL; sister, Judith Anderson Woodruff of St. Petersburg, FL and a number of other loving relatives.
