Judy Leatherwood

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Judy Leatherwood, age 79, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Mrs. Leatherwood was born in Rockmart, Georgia, a daughter to the late Arthur Ray McBride and the late Grace Williams McBride. Mrs. Leatherwood was a homemaker and in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Glenn Wayne Leatherwood.

Survivors include her sons, Anthony Ray Leatherwood and his wife Sarah of Statham, Brandon Wayne Leatherwood and his wife Ali of Suwanee; grandchildren, Taylor Grace Leatherwood, Zoey Anne Leatherwood, Parker Henry Leatherwood, Ella Grace Leatherwood; sister, Jane Thompson and her husband Paul of Effingham County also survives.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Helms officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:000 PM at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service. The burial will follow in the Evans Memory Gardens.
