Michael “Mike” Lee Angel

Michael “Mike” Lee Angel, age 75, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Monday, June 5, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Grace Angel.  Mike is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lisa Angel of Flowery Branch, GA; children, Lisa Underwood of Dacula, GA, Scott Angel of Chamblee, GA, Amy (Cory) Knight of Roswell, GA, and Michael (Heather) Ivkovich of Woodstock, GA; five grandchildren, Gage Underwood, Riley Underwood, Kate Caspersen, Holden Caspersen, and Dylan Ivkovich. Mike was born December 28, 1947 in Memphis, TN and moved to Georgia in 1948.  He was a graduate of Cross Keys High School in Brookhaven, GA, and received his Bachelor’s and two Master’s Degrees from Georgia State University.  He served his country in the United States Army, and retired in 2022 as an Insurance Producer for Yates Insurance Agency after 44 years of service.  Mike was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was loving, caring, and generous and will be greatly missed.  A visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, GA.  A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
