Lois Pugh Cronic

Lois Pugh Cronic, age 85, of Buford, GA passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, Byron “Tubby” Cronic; parents, Roe and Bertha Bruce Pugh; five brothers; and three sisters. Mrs. Cronic is survived by son, Dr. Randy Cronic and wife Anna Cronic of Duluth, GA; grandchildren, Nicole Cronic and Brianna Cronic; sisters-in-law, Mattie Pugh, of Buford and Shelvia Cronic of Flowery Branch, GA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Cronic was born on October 6, 1937 in Buford, GA. She was a 1955 graduate of Sugar Hill High School, and was retired from 3M Company after thirty years of service. Mrs. Cronic was a longtime member of Sugar Hill First Baptist Church, where she was involved in missions and numerous other projects at the church and in the community. She was a Poll Manager for Gwinnett County Elections Board for several elections. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Sugar Hill Church Chapel with Rev. Chuck Allen officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church beginning at 12:00 on Monday. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 4 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
