Ronald W. Kordos

Ronald W. Kordos, age 88, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023. Born in Detroit, Michigan July 28, 1934.  Devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Survived by Betty Jo, his beloved wife of 56 years, and grandson Robert D White. Preceded in death by his parents Helen and Walter Kordos, brother Richard (Nancy), and children Mark and Lisa. Also mourning his passing are nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Ron’s warmth, generosity, integrity, faith, and wit were endearing to all. They come from all places between Florida and his native Michigan.  Ronald’s remarkable professional career in electrical engineering saw him leading the industry’s late 20^th Century transition into aerospace and microchip technologies. He received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Detroit, then earned his graduate degree from the University of Michigan. His employers included technology leaders such as Western Electric, Bendix Corporation, and Bell Labs. He held numerous registered patents.   Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects on Monday, June 5 at 3:00 PM EDT, at Flanagan Funeral Home: 4400 S Lee St, Buford, GA 30518.  Ronald’s life will be celebrated at a mass on Tuesday, June 6, 2023; 11:00 AM EDT, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church: 6439 Sprout Springs Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.  Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross, GA.
