Mark Edward Knepp, age 59, of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
Mr. Knepp was born on November 5, 1963, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Richard and Madelyn Latham Knepp. He served in the United States Air Force for two years. Mark was a Hall County Firefighter for 29 years; a career in which he prided himself in while serving the community. He enjoyed golf, playing cards with his family, and spending time on the boat. He also loved playing backyard cornhole tournaments. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Friend, Michael Knepp, and Jim Knepp.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Knepp; daughter, Erica Dukes; sons, Dillon Knepp and David Knepp; grandchildren, DJ Dukes and London Dukes; siblings, John Knepp (Joan), Kathy Duhon (Jon), Beth Rivers (Larry), Margaret Clatterbuck (Don), Mickey Brusure (Neal); father-in-law, Cecil Callaway (Sharon); sister-in-law, Angela Welborn (Daren); several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens. A live stream of the service can be viewed at
