Ms. Claudine Mize Randolph was born on November 5, 1927, to the late Samuel Gertrude and Lelia Bell Buffington Mize. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Randolph Jr. One son, Michael Carl Goss, son-in-law Clarence H. Johnson Sr.; Brothers, JayLynn Mize, Floyd Mize, Dorsey Mize. Sisters, Condis Mize Jones, Nancy “Montine” Mize Turner, Daisy Lee Mize Brown, Barbara Mize Cheeks, and Bernice Mize Danzy.
Claudine grew up in Gillsville, Georgia. She attended Pleasant Hill School. Claudine also joined Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church at an early age, where she served on the Usher board until her health begin to fail.
She later relocated to Gainesville, Georgia. Claudine worked several jobs throughout her life. She served over 20 years in the poultry industry, Bell- Minor nursing home, and she also served as a beautician on the weekends to meet the needs for her children. Claudine was not only the Matriarch of her family, but also a Matriarch to “240 Atlanta St.”
Her favorite hobbies were going to church, shopping, and gardening her yard.
She leaves to cherish her memory to her daughters, Claudette (Rufus) Gaither, Starris, (William) Wells, Gloria (Late Clarence H. Johnson Sr.), and Wendy Ahmed. One son, Dwight (Sharon) Goss. Grandchildren, Tyrone Goss, Pi-lan Goss, Tiffany Goss, Dwight Goss, Trenton Goss, William Wells III, Renard W. Wells, Bithiah Wells, Vashti Wells, Venus Wells, Dejuan Collins, Kier Collins, Teja Collins, Hisak Ahmed, and a host of great grandchildren. One sister Wynonia Mize.
We would like to extend the warmest, heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our dear precious aunt Wynonna Mize Goss, and cousins Bradley Mize, Ricky Cheeks, Inge Brown, and Terress Morrison.
A Wake will be on Friday evening, May 26, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Gillsville, GA. The body will Lie-in-State at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
