Berkeley “Buzz” Jay Florian

Berkeley “Buzz” Jay Florian, left peacefully to be with his Savior on May 17^th, 2023, in his home. He was born July 17^th, 1940 in Plantsville, CT, married his sweetheart on July 1^st, 1961 in Southington, CT and later moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL, where they raised their 6 children. The 1990s took him back to Connecticut, and then in 2019, he made Sugar Hill, GA his home.

Buzz was a contractor by trade, but had so many other impressive skills, as he loved working with his capable hands. He was musically gifted, playful, witty and a friend to all.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Wentworth Florian, his children, KellyLynn D’Ambrosio, Andrea Connolly (James), Danielle Sheehan (Sean), Kate Avello (Sam), Joshua Florian and Tina Moniz, his 21 grandchildren, his 5 great grandchildren, his sisters, Beverlee Marotto (Charles) and Barbara Corwin, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Berkeley and Bertha Florian, and his son-in-law, Kyle Moniz.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 27^th, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 S Lee Street, Buford, GA 30518. The viewing will be at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to Christ Fellowship Church, 139 Hightower Pkwy, Suite 100, Dawsonville, GA 30534 in honor of Buzz Florian towards a Sunday night North Georgia Revival service, so the uncompromised gospel will continue to go forth from that House.
