Scott Odom

Scott Odom, 43, of Buford, GA, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023 after an extended illness. Scott has been cremated and no service is scheduled at this time. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Danney Odom. He is survived by his mother, Sandra Odom of Buford, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Scott was born in Lawrenceville, GA and was a lifelong resident of the area. Scott graduated from North Gwinnett High School and was a very talented mechanic. He worked as a mechanic with Southeastern Freight Lines.

God saw he was getting tired

And a cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around him

And whispered, “Come with Me.”

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer

And saw him fade away.

Although we loved him dearly,

We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.
