Emma Smith Miller

     Mrs. Emma Smith Miller, age 84 of Oakwood, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

            Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery with the funeral service following the graveside service at 3:30 pm at Central Baptist Church.  Reverend Mike Taylor will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 13, 2023 following the service, at Central Baptist Church. 

            Mrs. Miller was born April 27, 1939 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late Reverend Paul Smith and Louise Cantrell Smith.  She was retired from Peachtree Windows and Doors as a Plant Nurse.  Emma was a member of Central Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Buddy Miller, her twin sister, Bettye Stacey, her sister, Peggy Evans and her brother, Hoyt Smith.

            Mrs. Miller is survived by her children, Bill & Christiane Miller of New York, Art Miller of Oakwood and Mike & Kim Miller of Oakwood, her grandchildren, Maggie & Brad Fitzwater, Abigail & Drew Mullen, Buddy Miller, Heather Miller, Nathan & Lydia Miller and Emma & August Roberts, her 6 great-grandchildren and her brothers, Gene & Shirley Smith of Gainesville and George Smith of Texas.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
