Mr. Jerry Michael “Mike” McCroskey, age 72 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at his home.
Born August 18, 1950 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Thomas “Tynt” McCroskey and Lovenia Crowe McCroskey. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army in the early seventies and honorably discharged. He was a licensed electrician. He was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward McCroskey and by two sisters, Joyce Smith and Carolyn Taylor.
Survivors include his children, Tracy McCroskey of Toccoa, Stacy and Leslie McCroskey of Hiawassee, Angela Higginbotham (Carter Gower) of Gainesville; the mother of his children, Teresa Y. McCroskey of Tococa; grandchildren raised in the home, Stephanie (Heath) Martin and Phillip (Bethany) McCroskey; grandchildren, Madi (Steven) Loudermilk, Skyeler Higginbotham and Jack McCroskey; great-grandchildren, Liam, SJ, Mason and Tessa; brothers, Charles (Sylvia) McCroskey, Kenneth McCroskey and Harold McCroskey all of Toccoa; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 12, 2023, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from noon until the service time. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and the V.F.W. Post 4346 Honor Guard. The family will be at their respective homes following the service.
